For my research documentation I decided that some of my own knowledge and experience within Lighting Design would be appropriate to talk about although my lighting designs are very basic (Paint) and based theatrically I still believe that my designing ability is good I've attached 1 of my lighting plans for an Evening of Dance that I produced the lighting plan was pretty straightforward to design it was a matter of covering the stage and making it well lit. Also in terms of lighting design I tried to incorporate "Dance" lighting because types of productions have core lighting styles, to elaborate the lighting for a Dance show is more so lit from the side or the flats this gives more definition and depth to the dance it will depend on the type of dance but this is a key Dance lighting technique.
For my lighting planning process this is the stages I took to plan them:
Stage 1 - Assessing the current rig and available lanterns.
Stage 2 - Mapping out the current rig and lantern setup.
Stage 3 - Mapping in the available sockets on the Gantries.
Stage 4 - building up the rig starting with fixed colour lanterns.
Stage 5 - Adding in the wash lights for the stage.
Stage 6 - Finishing lights.
Stage 7 - Profile lights and specific spots.
Stage 8 - Mapping the lanterns to the associate socket numbers.
